Domaine Monthelie-Douhairet-Porcheret

With a history spanning more than three centuries, Domaine Monthélie-Douhairet-Porcheret is a family estate rooted in the village of Monthélie in the heart of Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune. In the early 1970s, sisters Armande and Charlotte Douhairet inherited the property; while Charlotte sold her share, Armande chose to preserve her part of the family estate. A defining chapter began in 1989 when Armande joined forces with her adopted son, renowned Burgundian winemaker André Porcheret, who developed the domaine alongside his role as régisseur of the Hospices de Beaune. In 2004, André was joined by his granddaughter Cataldina Lippo, passing on the knowledge and values accumulated over generations.

Today, Cataldina Lippo and Vincent Monfort carry the domaine forward, combining respect for Burgundian tradition and individual terroirs with modern techniques and an environmentally conscious approach. The estate’s vineyards encompass an impressive range of Côte de Beaune appellations, including Monthélie, Volnay, Pommard and Meursault, while its broader range now extends to further prestigious Burgundy terroirs. The domaine achieved France’s Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) certification in 2018, reflecting its commitment to biodiversity and responsible vineyard management. With its deep family heritage, the legacy of André Porcheret and a strong focus on terroir, Domaine Monthélie-Douhairet-Porcheret represents a compelling combination of Burgundy tradition and a new generation of winemaking.
