Leon Beyer Gewurztraminer AOC Alsace 2021
Volume: 750ml
Léon Beyer Gewurztraminer 2021 is a dry white wine made exclusively with the Gewurztraminer variety and protected by the AOC Alsace, France. This wine stands out for its distinctive bouquet, predominantly spicy, enriched with floral notes of roses and nuances of tropical fruits, especially highlighting Chinese lychee. Despite being fully fermented, this wine retains a slightly lush character, complemented by delicate acidity and a gently rounded aftertaste.
Light notes of rose petal and lychee are present but not as pronounced, making it an approachable, if not particularly bold, expression of the varietal. Still, it’s well-made and easy to enjoy for those who prefer a gentler style of Gewürztraminer. — Aleks Zecevic, Wine Enthusiast

Winemaking
Gewurztraminer grapes are hand-harvested from estate vineyards in Alsace and gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the grape’s aromatic intensity. The wine is fermented to near dryness (in line with the house style), without oak influence. It is then aged on fine lees for added texture before being filtered and bottled.
