Domaine Francois Lumpp
Situated in the village of Givry in the Côte Chalonnaise, Domaine François Lumpp is widely considered one of the most important estates of the appellation.
The domaine was founded by François Lumpp in the early 1990s, at a time when Givry was still relatively under-recognised compared with the famous villages of the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune.
Through careful vineyard management and low yields, François Lumpp gradually established a reputation for producing wines that revealed the true potential of the appellation.
The estate’s vineyards include several notable Premier Cru sites such as Clos du Cras Long and Petit Marole, where the limestone soils and favourable exposures contribute to the character of the wines.
Today the domaine remains family-run, with François Lumpp working alongside his children to continue developing the estate’s vineyards.
