Pernand-Vergelesses Premier Cru red wines are fine and elegant, with greater richness and power than the village wines. Purple-blue in colour, they reveal expressive notes of raspberry, violet and blackcurrant. The palate is full yet delicate, with beautiful intensity and harmony.

The firm structure softens gradually with time. The wine develops harmoniously over three to five years and can reach its peak after around eight years in the greatest vintages.
