Robert Groffier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Hauts-Doix 2021

Les Hauts-Doix is a Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru located directly beside Les Amoureuses. Domaine Robert Groffier works 0.9 hectares of Pinot Noir on clay-limestone soils, with vines aged 30 years and older. Average production is limited to approximately 4,000 bottles.

The wine is made with around 30% whole bunches. A five- to six-day cold maceration is followed by a warmer fermentation with indigenous yeasts to extract colour and flavour. It is matured for approximately 12 months in oak barrels, including 25% new oak, and then for three months in stainless steel.
